Suppose we are interested in taking a person to a kshetra unknown and hitherto unseen by him, then we must start from a place already known to him. If he has to travel alone, then he should be provided with a map with explanations indicating the route from his place of residence (or a known place close) to the destination. In the same way, to lead those who have never crossed the domain of senses to the realizable Paramaatman in daharaakasha, we must start the route map from the world of senses alone. It is precisely out of this sense of kindness that our maharshis have created the pilgrim centers.
