It is known that a model of the brain is constructed to understand the workings of the real brain. Though the model-brain is lifeless it nevertheless leads us towards the real one. In the same way, it is true that the symbol of divinity has been stamped on the shilaa (stone) in the form of kalaa (art) only to acquaint us with the inner divinity. Stone no doubt is not god, but it is definitely a model which attracts and drags us in the direction of divinity.
