There is a famous Manikarnika which is a part of the Lotus called the Jeevamani. Since this prevails at the source and starting point of Creation, a holy dip at this original Manikarnika (through meditation) undoubtedly leads to liberation. The physical or the geographical Manikarnika that you see here is just a representation of that original. Only a bath with the remembrance of this internal spirit leads to Hari-Hara saayujya.
