Nectarine Nuggets of Mahaaguru - 450

On reaching the Samādhi state, all the sensory and motor organs cease to work; the breathing also stops!! But don't dread that state. Such a fear can be induced even in a person who has not experienced the joy of sleep by saying: "when you are asleep, your eyes can't see; your ears can't hear; everything is forgotten; even the money that you have lent to someone is forgotten! You rest like a corpse!" A fool may get bewildered by this. But it is true that all these things do happen during sleep. Does it then warrant foregoing sleep? No. For, sleep and deep sleep (Suṣupti) provide rest to all the tired senses. Compared to the peace that one obtains during deep sleep, one gets thousand-fold more joy, rest and tranquility (Samādhāna) in the Samādhi state.
