Darkness is not an object by itself. It simply 'manifests', in the absence of light! It vanishes as soon as the light appears. In the same way, Ajnana as such does not exist. As long as the light of Jnana does not shine, the darkness of Ajnana exists. The moment the gleam of Jnana enters, this gloom vanishes.
