The lotus has a special property. Although born, grown and resident in water forever, the water does not stick to its leaf. In the same way, a Jnani too, though born and bred in Prakṛti (Creation, Cosmos) does not get stuck to the Prakṛta Bhava (worldly feelings) even though he is always moving in the company of Prakṛtas (ordinary mortals). {Lipyate na sa papena padmapatram ivambhasa}.
