A Brahmacāri (celibate) having been trained by a Jñāni, having acquired Jñāna after staying in Gurukula and having understood that Jñāna alone is the most important aspect in Life, undertakes Kāśī -Yātra (a pilgrimage to the holy centre Kāśī). Learning this, the father of the maiden who personifies Goddess Lakshmi, offered her to him in marriage to advance the progeny of Jñāna.
