If women are Jñānis, with the realization of the Sadvastu, then they are indeed considered to be Puruṣas by the realized souls. Again, though possessing the external characteristics of the male (Puruṣa), those materialists, not knowing the Puruṣa-Svarūpa, are simply deemed to be Strīs (females).
