It is not true that a Gṛhastha (house-holder) is not entitled for Mokṣa (liberation). Mokṣa is certainly possible if one adheres to the code prescribed for a Gṛhastha. This Gṛhastha-Āśrama supports all the other Āśramas (stages of life-Brahmacarya, Vānaprastha and Sanyāsa). Just as varieties of birds live by taking refuge on a tree, so also people of all Āśramas seek the support in Gṛhastha- Āśrama.
